Welcome, healthy lifestyle

After neglecting my poor little blog, I thought I would give it some love;


I thought I would talk about health and fitness. Recently I decided to concentrate on what I was eating and try to exercise more. 

The Food Diary
I started my food diary on the 1st April. I write in everything i've eaten each day. If I eat something 'bad' then I'll write the word CHEAT and the offending food item. Writing my food diary has been a really useful tool, if I seem a little bloated I can refer to the food diary or write in what i thought it was. It also acts as a bit of an insentive to eat healthily and avoid the 'CHEATS' to make my diary look nice.

Diet
I mean diet as in food. I've been shaking up my diet, trying not to eat sweets and eating more fruit and vegetables. I'm trying to avoid having carbs for/with dinner but allow myself to have pasta for a meal perhaps once a week. Eating after 7pm has been stopped on most days and the drinking of more water has been welcomed.

Exercise
I usually do ballet twice a week and tap once a week, but it isn't exactly cardio vascular endurance. I also go to circuits with my Mum and sister once a week, we do a lot of weight training as the instructor says, 'when you start weight training the weight will just drop off.' (Due to our dodgy scales at home I cannot confirm if this is true!) I was doing a bit of zumbaing from the DVD during the holiday, but need to remotivate myself to do it again!



I'm hoping to keep this up to sustain a healthy lifestyle, let's see how it goes!
